Health Care Reform and Compliance

The recently enacted health care reform law has resulted in a number of significant changes to health care coverage for Americans. Some changes will be almost immediate; others will not become effective for several years. Read our blog to learn more!

The Patient Protection and Accountable Care Act (PPACA or ACA) passed in 2010 requires significant changes to health care coverage in the United States. The changes required by this law will be phased in over five- or six-year period that began in 2010.

Preventive-Care Services Required by the Accountable Care Act

The ACA requires that certain preventive-care services be covered at 100% by healthcare plans, including insured and self-funded plans. Below is a link to the list of services currently required to be covered. More guidance is expected in late 2011 regarding coverage of preventive-care services.
